Women’s Ministry Update 12/5/13

Current Announcements:

Fun TONIGHT – Thursday, December 5th – NLICC Jazz Band Performs at Spotsylvania Towne Center
Come by the stage near the Food Court at 7pm for a Christmas Jazz Concert.  Have some errands to run?  Stop by for some jazzy carols and see many familiar faces treating the community with Christmas cheer!

Women’s Ministry Committee Meeting this Sunday, December 8th at 4:30pm in Room 217

Cookie Exchange – December 13th at 6:30pm in the Fireside Room
Ladies, join us for a Christmas goodie/cookie exchange and some holiday fellowship.  Make your favorite Christmas treat and package them in individual bags (3-4 items per bag). Bring as many bags as you want. You will leave with the same amount of bags of yummy Christmas treats! Bring some extra to snack on while we have a wonderful time of fellowship! No RSVP required, just bring treats if you want to exchange or just yourself and a friend if you just want to fellowship.

RSVP now for the Christmas Banquet and Drama on Saturday, December 14th
In order to have adequate tables and seating for everyone, the banquet planners need to know that you are coming.  Please call the office, (540)786-4848 or RSVP on the tear-off portion of the bulletin this Sunday.  Please help our brothers and sisters who plan by letting them know as soon as you can commit.

Selah Leigh Greenberg has arrived!
Please contact Lisa Capitano if you are willing to help with meals for Jeremy and Tracy’s family.

There will be no Women’s Prayer Breakfast this month because of all of the holiday activities – join us at the Cookie Exchange!

Christmas Cards
Would you like to share a Christmas greeting with your covenant family?  Pin a card on the Women’s Ministry Bulletin Board in the hallway across from the kitchen.  Laurie Burrows has dressed it up for the holidays.  Thank you to Laurie for keeping the Church’s boards looking spiffy!

Looking for a Housekeeper?
From Debra Smith:  There are a few Afghan ladies whom we know who are desperate for work.  They are interested in cleaning houses (and are very good) but don’t have the connections to get the jobs lined up.  Do you know of anyone who might be interested in a good housekeeper — especially as a ministry, both financially and/or potentially even relationally/spiritually, should any opportunities arise to share Christ through it?  Contact Debra.

Lost from Thanksgiving: Blue and White Ceramic Pie Plate
Pam Lopes left her pie plate in the kitchen for the Thanksgiving Ministry and now she can’t find it.  If there’s any chance it has found its way hope with your family, please let her know.  It has sentimental value.  Contact Pam if you find it.

Doug and Ann Park’s new address:
10504 S 83rd Ave, Palos Hills, IL  60465
