NLICC WOMEN’S UPDATE 04.29.22

Focus for April:
Trust - I can trust the God who knows me
and Jesus who died for me!

“O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
    you discern my thoughts from afar.
 You search out my path and my lying down
    and are acquainted with all my ways.”
Psalm 139:1-3

 “Jesus Calls Us”

Lyrics by Cecil F. Alexander (1852)

Jesus calls us o'er the tumult
of our life's wild, restless sea;
day by day his voice invites me,
saying "Christian, follow me!"

As the first disciples heard it
by the Galilean lake,
turned from home and toil and kindred,
leaving all for his dear sake.

 Jesus calls us from the worship
of the vain world's golden store,
from each idol that would keep us,
saying "Christian, love me more."

 In our joys and in our sorrows,
days of toil and hours of ease,
still he calls, in cares and pleasures,
"Christian, love me more than these."

 Jesus calls us! In your mercy,
Savior, help us hear your call;
give our hearts to your obedience,
serve and love you best of all!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Help with Seating
Can you help us? You may have noticed that the seating in the sanctuary feels a bit full. We praise God for so many people returning to worship now that the pandemic is waning, but you may have noticed that most of the seats are taken.

You can help! How?

Please sit as far forward as you can. There is plenty of space in the front seats. It makes room for more in the back. Plus, the further forward you sit, the better the sound and the easier to engage!
Please fill in those empty seats in the middle of the rows. Just squeezing together a little bit makes a big difference.
Help people find a place to sit. Our ushers are working through ways to help people find seats more easily. But, any of us can help. Do you see someone looking for a place to sit? Make a space and pull them in.
