As today’s moms and dads, you are the first generation to raise kids in an age that is both pornography-saturated and digitally-connected. Your kids can be inundated with pornographic ideas, images, and messages nearly everywhere they go with just the swipe of a finger.

If you’re like many moms and dads, you want to protect your kids from harm, but today’s digital-sexual landscape feels too fast-paced and overwhelming, and you feel ill-equipped and under-prepared to keep up.

  • My kids are more tech-savvy than me. How do I keep track of all they’re doing on their devices?
  • My parents never talked with me about sex, so I don’t even know where to begin to have “the talk” with my own kids!
  • I just found out my daughter has been viewing porn for the past couple of years. What do I do now?
  • My son’s friends all talk to him about porn as though everybody views it. They share some of the most disturbing videos with each other like it’s no big deal. How can I help?
  • My kids are still very young, so I don’t have to worry about pornography yet. Do I?
  • I’m not proud of my own sexual history and I want something better for my kids, but I feel disqualified. What can I say to them?

Treading Boldly workshops are designed to equip Christian moms and dads with the insights, self-awareness, and godly wisdom they need to become their sons and daughters’ best resource and most trusted guide as they navigate today’s digital landscape.

This workshop provides parents with:

  1. The Bad (and Good!) News about Pornography

A summary of the problem of pornography in the digital age, stressing the importance of your regular, ongoing involvement in the sexual discipleship of your kids.

A sobering look at the competitive edge the internet has when it comes to being a “go-to” for kids’ questions, and how you can keep (or regain) your God-ordained role as your kids’ most trusted guide when it comes to questions about sexual matters.

  2. Why Your Own Story Matters Most

A look at how your own story can hinder you from being able to walk with your kids as a non-anxious, open, and reliable guide; and encouragement to begin facing aspects of your own story that may be holding you back.
An exploration of those parts of your story that are worth examining, with brief suggestions on how to begin bringing your own story to Jesus.
  3. Giving Your Kids a Vision to Live For

A deeper dive into how to provide your kids with a better, more compelling vision for God’s design for sexuality, rather than just, “Wait until marriage to have sex.” A look at two key generational differences that often stump parents (Gen X or Millennial) when trying to relay Christian values successfully to their kids (Gen Z and Gen Alpha, or i-Gen) and how the example of Jesus and Paul can help you reach your kids more effectively.
