Genesis 8:20-9:17

We like the idea of a “reset” or a “do over”, but unless we make changes, we are bound to have the same results. God blotted out life on the earth, except for Noah and the others on the ark. But even the flood could not change human nature. Because Noah and his descendants were still sinful by nature (Genesis 8:20-22), and because they still have the same responsibilities and blessings (Genesis 9:1-4), something needed to be done with sin and evil. God had no intention of letting it grow like it did before the flood. Instead, God gives gifts of mercy and grace to deal withsin and evil. What has God given to deal with sin and evil?
