Genesis 23:1-20

Have you ever found yourself with nowhere to turn? Have you faced a challenge that seemed insurmountable, without even knowing where to begin? Our passage today tells us about Abraham and his quest to lay his beloved wife Sarah to rest after many years of marriage. Where will he bury her, given that he doesn't have a single square inch of land to call his own? Although God had promised Abraham a vast and prosperous land, it did little good when it came to burying Sarah. But could it? Just like Abraham, we all struggle to apply God's divine promises to the problems we encounter in the tangible world. How do we bridge the gap between God’s promise and what we need right now?
