Genesis 25:19-34

The promises in the gospel are precious to every person who truly receives them. In those promises we have reconciliation with God, restoration to our purpose, and reasons for love and joy. Still, there are many who hear those promises that fail to value them for what they are. Even with the enormous value, they will dismiss them as irrelevant because they fail to see the need. What about us? Will we be the ones that value faith in the gospel or dismiss it? In our passage this morning, we will hear the account of Jacob and Esau and the importance of receiving the gospel promises for ourselves by faith. How will we experience the promises of God? How do they become ours?
