“Finding Satisfaction in Christ”

An Evangelism Explosion presentation pictures a person bobbing in the middle of an ocean after they’ve been tossed from their boat in the midst of a storm. A Coast Guard vessel arrives as the person is going down for the third time, and a sailor throws a lifeline connected to a life preserver. Do you hang on to the wreckage, or do you let go and grab hold of the invitation to be saved? Jesus is the only Savior, for this life and the next. Are you hungering and thirsting for Him and for His righteousness?

“Blessed Are the Gentle: Finding My Identity in Christ”

The Evangelism Explosion presentation explains, “Heaven (eternal life) is a free gift you cannot earn it or deserve it.” But what about the earth? Have you considered that the Christian shall also inherit the earth? And it is neither the ambitious nor the important “Christian” who shall inherit it, but the gentle and meek; the humble. Are you trusting Christ for the blessedness that He promises in being gentle?

A Time to Mourn: Finding My Identity in Christ

Do you aspire to greatness? Do you have what it takes to be great? But how do your desires measure up to the will of God? What if being great meant that you were the least? What if significance in the kingdom of God meant that you were insignificant in the kingdom of this world? What if the way to finding comfort was not through the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 John 2:15-17), but through grief and mourning?
