I don’t think any of us expected the current health mandates to last this long, and we still don’t know how long the health limitations will last into the future. Many of us still have concerns. While we rejoice in the increased attendance in the morning services, we are aware that parts of our church family want to rejoin our services, but are not able to because of health concerns. Some have asked about a mask-required service. While we are praying about it, at the current time our focus is to continue developing our “SAFE-ER” rooms for worship.
What is our “Safe-er Room” for worship? While we believe that our current sanctuary set-up provides appropriate social distancing to reduce the risk of COVID transmission, we use room 100 to host a small number (up to six) of households who would like to gather together for worship with higher health parameters, including mask required and no singing. For the last two months (since June 14), this group has grown bit by bit, and enjoy great fellowship together.
Due to growing interest we are expanding this room to both services, both 8:30 and 10:00 AM.
If you have not been able to attend the regular services because of health concerns, AND if you are ready to join corporate worship with higher safety parameters, would you consider joining our gathering in Room 100? We think this could be a good option for you and your household.
Here are the rules: 1) Reservations are required with Pastor Skip (email@example.com) because 2) seating is limited (each service can accommodate up to 6 households); 2) masks are required, and 3) singing is not permitted. We are focusing our 8:30 service for those who are more health-vulnerable and our 10:30 service for those who are more mask-conscious than the service in the sanctuary allows.
This option provides the opportunity to enter and exit the building in the most direct path (i.e. at the back of the building, entering and exiting room 100 directly), participate in worship with other households by watching the livestream of the service, and as desired to join in some outdoor fellowship after the service.
To make reservations for Room 100 and get instructions, please contact Pastor Skip at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email me or your shepherd elder.
