New Life in Christ
“A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.” Ecclesiastes 3:2 NASB
Dear New Life in Christ Church Family,
This Sunday, May 10, we shall worship the Lord as a gathered people for the first time since March 15. These last two months have seemed long and arduous for some, and yet for many this has been a time to seek the Lord and develop renewed spiritual discipline.
Because the Lord is near, we desire for our gentle spirit to be known to all – including our neighbors (Philippians 4:5).
For those who plan to come, we ask you to drive up, remain socially distant, and worship the Lord. For those who are not yet ready to gather, we will continue to offer livestream.
Would you let us know that you are coming? We don’t plan to turn anyone away, but we would like to know how many to expect, for planning purposes.
Please RSVP here by Friday at noon:
Because the Lord is near, we can rejoice…always! (Philippians 4:4)
Because the Lord is near, we may let all our requests be known to Him. (Philippians 4:6)
For those who are ready to be “uprooted” (Ecclesiastes 3:2), we look forward to seeing you.
For those who are not yet ready, rest in the knowledge that we look forward to seeing you in the Lord’s time.
Since March 15 we have offered worship services in a virtual manner (i.e. by remote viewing of livestream service via nlicc.org/watchlive), and as of March 22 we have operated with only a minimal staff present in the building to provide the service. We have been very intentional as we seek to honor our God by respecting the laws and orders of our Commonwealth and our Nation. This “drive-in” worship service is an acceptable option and is consistent with guidelines of the Governor and the Centers for Disease Control. We are communicating with local authorities and working with them to ensure this service is consistent with all applicable governance.
If you have specific needs, please let us know (email@example.com || 540-786-4848) so that we can pray for you and offer any practical help. Our elders are available as are our deacons (https://goo.gl/forms/wZ8miuU2BptSmOtG3). Please be aware of your neighbors needs, especially the elderly and vulnerable. We are here for you.
Yours in Christ,
