Theme for May: “God of Hope”

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. – Romans 15:13

Responses to Question of the Month
“How does trusting God bring you hope?”

“When I purpose to trust God for my life and where He is leading me, I feel an immense sense of relief. The burden of ‘making it happen’ is suddenly taken off my shoulders and placed on His. I am no longer in a sense bound by feeling I have to do just the right thing at the right time in order for things to go as they should; I don’t have to orchestrate the situation. I can calmly look back at my life and focus on the many times God has been there for me and given me just what I have needed at the time it was needed. This restores my hope in Him and allows me to obey the things He presents before me to do each day and trust Him for my future.” – Phyllis Di Bella

“Times of despair and disappointment have us on our knees, asking ‘Why, God?’  We won’t always understand why, but it’s by God’s grace that we trust that God still loves us and is still taking care of us.”  – Katie Crawford
