ONE SERVICE starting 5/30/21 at 10 AM: Reopening Changes to our Worship Services

“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many.” – 1 Corinthians 12:12–14

Starting May 30, we will move to ONE WORSHIP SERVICE every Sunday at 10 AM. Adult and children Sunday school will start at 9 AM.

We will live stream our 10 AM service and continue to live stream adult Sunday school. (www.nlicc.org/watchlive/)

We will continue using the Fireside Room as a MASK-REQUIRED room, so please take advantage of that, as you desire. We will no longer have hosted streaming in room 100.

We praise God for what He has done over this last year. We praise God for the people who have made these services work for the last year.

Why go back to one service? It has long been the vision that New Life in Christ Church acts as one congregation. The breaking up into two services, in many ways, makes it like we have two different congregations. We don’t have chances to see each other, the two services take on different personalities, and we even hear different messages. We would like to be united as one church, together.

Many of our people have already had COVID, many are already vaccinated, the governor has lifted gathering limits and mask mandates, and so we anticipate that we will successfully and smoothly move back to one service.

Please do what you need to be healthy and safe. Everybody’s reaction to COVID is different and we know that some have had life-threatening illnesses, long-term COVID symptoms, and some of us have had friends die. It has been serious, and remains a matter of prayer for our nation, church, and community.

So praise God with me for this chance to gather again in one service as one body in Christ.

MASK NOTES: We are not requiring masks for our services or our ministries. UPDATE: As of 6/11/21, we have one exception: The Fireside Room for watching the service. If you have to go through the Fireside room but don’t have a mask, please move speedily through or find another way to get where you are going.
