Spring 2016 – Adult Sunday School Classes

New Adult Sunday School Classes this Sunday

“Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.”
(Jude 3, ESV)

Come join us and grow in your relationship with Christ.  New classes begin April 3.  Classes meet at 9 AM and are open to all.

Covenant of Discipleship
Taught by Pastor Doug Kittredge

Are you interested in joining New Life in Christ Church?  In this class Pastor Doug will cover the core convictions of the church, our structure as you prepare to make a public profession of your faith.

Christian Doctrine: The Church of Christ
Taught by Pastor Sean and Sam Capitano

Learn to think biblically about the church and its purpose. In this study, you will gain a fresh understanding of the form and purpose God has for His people. This class will show the majesty of God’s plan and how Sunday morning is more than just a meeting. Link to the book we will use.

Christian Practice:  The Great Commission
Taught by Robin Wilson

All Christians are called to share God’s love. As faith comes from hearing God’s word (Rom. 10: 17) so this class will focus on the Word of God and how to share God’s love in a clear, nonthreatening and easily understood manner (Evangelism Explosion).   For those who want it, there will also be “on the job training opportunities”  meaning visitation to see what God would have for us during this semester.  It will be exciting and rewarding. Find out more about Evangelism Explosion here.

Bible: 1 Corinthians: The Challenges of Life Together
Taught by Skip Tyler

Life among Christians can be great. But let’s face it—it can also be exasperating. The joys of fellowship too often give way to division and debate—arguments over such things as the correct form of worship and the place of spiritual gifts. In  1 Corinthians we see Christianity not as it was meant to be but as it often is. Yet we also find practical advice for overcoming the challenges of life together.

Family and Relationships: The Gospel-Centered Parent
Taught by Joe Plaia and Kim Lorei

Each week during this class we will look at parenting through the lens of God’s grace for sinners (parents and children) helping parents parent through the gospel. Parents will learn how to live out the biblical principles of faith, repentance, and faithfulness to their calling as parents with their children. Link to the book we will use.
