Biblical Doctrine: Covenants
Taught by Bob Rumbaugh
God interacts with humanity by relationship, but a relationship full of both promises and obligations, in other words, God interacts with humanity through covenant. In this class, we will study the covenants of the Bible as the primary way that God has dealt with his people, and we will show how each one finds their fulfillment in the person of Jesus Christ.
Family and Relationships: What Did You Expect? Redeeming the Realities of Marriage (room 217)
video discussion facilitated by Pastor Sean
We all bring hopes and expectations into our marriage. It doesn’t take long until those dreams are dashed. The Bible teaches that we all bring something destructive into our relationships – sin. Yet we buy into the delusion that our biggest problem is with our spouse or our circumstances. We rarely take seriously the nature of our own sin. This video study will help us get to the bottom of our struggles – our heart – and help us find lasting hope for our marriages. It’s only when we worship God as Creator, Sovereign and Savior that we will ever love as we should. This class will challenge us to look into the mirror of God’s Word and see ourselves with accuracy.
Bible: 1 Corinthians
Taught by Chris Garcia and Jay Storms
When we think of the true church of God, we tend to imagine a people whose lives are characterized by love, humility, holiness, and unity in Christ. Yet so often the reality falls short of the expectation. In 1 Corinthians we will study a true church that defies our expectations – one plagued by divisions, sexual sin, incorrect doctrine, and spiritual pride – and we will see how the Gospel speaks life-giving hope and correction into this church.
