Adult Sunday School at New Life in Christ
(December 3 – February 25, 2018)

Come join us and grow in your relationship with Christ.  New classes begin December 3. Classes meet at 9 AM and are open to all.

Covenant of Discipleship (Pastor Doug’s Office)
Taught by Pastor Doug Kittredge

Are you interested in joining New Life in Christ Church?  In this class Pastor Doug will cover the core convictions of the church, our structure as you prepare to make a public profession of your faith.  Begins December 3.

Union with Christ; The Way to Know and Enjoy Christ (Fireside Room)
A book study led by Mark Shigley and Skip Tyler

Perhaps one of the greatest barriers to faith is not the things we don’t know but the things we think we know yet we’re wrong about. In this class, we will attempt to help us bridge the gap between head and heart; between belief and experience.  We’ll learn how a Christian lives “in Christ” and experience its life-changing realities.

Instructing a Child’s Heart (Room 217)
A book study led by Pastor Sean

From interaction with their peers to the instruction and correction that they receive at home, children interpret their experience from a worldview that seeks to answer their fundamental questions: Who am I? What do I exist for? Where can I find joy? We need to provide our children with a consistent, persuasive, biblical framework for understanding the world God has made and their place in it. Instructing a Child’s Heart is essential to Shepherding a Child’s Heart. The instruction that you provide for them not only informs their mind; it is directed to persuading their hearts of the wisdom and truthfulness of God s ways. Impress truth on the hearts of your children, not to control or manage them, but to point them to the greatest joy and happiness that they can experience delighting in God and the goodness of his ways..

The Gospel of Mark (Room 219)
Taught by Dan Deaconson

The Sunday school class on the Gospel of Mark can be summarized as follows.  The main theme of this study is that Jesus was a servant and a leader who did His works “immediately”.  We also see Jesus the “Evangelist”, teaching His disciples the importance of Evangelizing the World.  We will progress through the gospel chapter by chapter.
