Change for future Women’s Breakfasts
Food to be provided – Come and enjoy!
At the breakfast last week we discussed what might make the monthly breakfasts more welcoming and accessible to those who are not attending. The subject of some women not being able to bring something to share and therefore not participating was discussed. We know that the men have a good thing going with their breakfasts each month – it is a fabulous meal by a devoted and hard-working crew of cooks. At this time we don’t have volunteers to take on that big of a job (from the regular women’s breakfast attendees). We do, however, have a group of faithful ladies that come as often as they can and the Lord always provides through us, with more than enough for more! So, we’ll see how this works for awhile and pray we’ll have new faces join us. As always, bring a friend or your daughters along.
Don’t forget – Sign up for a Care Group this Sunday if you have not already

Shower of Prayer, September 21st at 9am in the Fireside Room
Come enjoy breakfast and a time of prayer in anticipation of our NLICC and EG covenant babies. This Prayer Shower is in honor of Tracy Greenberg, Dena Kota, Annie Page, Katie Pirch, Hannah Reed and Ruth de Los Santos. No gifts expected, food provided. Bring a heart of prayer and praise for these little ones and their families! Note: This is a collective opportunity to have all of our expectant moms together to celebrate the covenant children of the church while yet in the womb and pray for their safe and healthy deliveries. It does not preclude care groups or friends from having baby showers for individuals. We plan to have these Prayer Showers periodically in the future.
Pioneer Girls is still looking for Leaders
Please contact Dorinda McConnell or Sharon Leaman if you are willing to be a leader for Pioneer Girls. You do not have to have a daughter to be a part. Singles and empty-nesters strongly encouraged to pray about the opportunity to build into the lives of young girls. Curriculum provided. Pioneer Girls will meet 4-5:30pm on Wednesdays.
Blessings Bags, October 19th following the Women’s Breakfast at 9am
Ever wonder what to give the homeless guy begging at the intersection? Want to have a blessing on hand to share ready in your car? Join us Saturday, October 19th at 9am to enjoy breakfast and make “Blessing Bags” – ziplocks filled with toiletries and treats. Bring your daughter or a friend and join us for fellowship and an assembly line. We’ll have tracts on hand to put in your bags to share the good news. It will take some planning ahead and everyone following through to bring the contents. Sign up here.
Note from Christine, Kitchen Committee:
“Thank you Alan Dowell for taking the initiative and fixing the stove! We are all so grateful!
The left oven hasn’t worked for months but now we can use it.”
Electronic Signup Help
Hey! Do you have a ministry need and would like help setting up an online signup sheet? Part of our mission as the Women’s Ministry Committee is to help facilitate communications. The advantage to an online signp is that participants get real time updates and there’s no need to wait until business hours to place a call or wait for someone to get back to you with email. You sign up and it’s done. It’s not difficult to set up a signup and we have an account with TimeToSignUp for NLICC Women’s Ministry that you are welcome to use for church events. Contact Heather for admin information if you are interested. Need us to set your signup up for you? Write down all the information that people need to know (Who’s the contact? What’s the activity? When and where?) and then provide a list of who or what (with amounts) you’ll need. It’s an easy way to allow folks to sign up as volunteers, to bring donations, to coordinate who’s bringing what.
Let us know what you’d like to see from Women’s Ministry at New life in Christ Church. Is there an activity or subject that you’d like to see? Do you have a friend that should be encouraged to share her story? What is the Lord teaching you? We’d like to hear…
in His grace,
for the Women’s Ministry Committee
